VACCINATIONS
Canine Distemper, Adenovirus, Canine Parvovirus, and Rabies are the major vaccinations that should be given as soon as your dog is old enough to recieve them. Please consult your veterinarian for your vaccination schedule.
Note that many K9 Academies and Dog Parks will NOT ALLOW ENTRY without valid vaccination cards...This includes Howler K9 Academy and Park.
DO NOT GIVE YOUR DOG THESE FOODS
For the health of your dog, the following foods should not be given to your dog as it is bad for dogsā¦
- Alcohol
- Avocado
- Chocolate
- Coffee or Caffeine
- Citrus plants (Oranges, Lemons, Grapefruit, etc.)
- Coconut & Coconut Oils
- Grapes & Raisins
- Nuts & Seeds (Particularly Macadamia nuts and Apple Seeds)
- Onions, Garlic, Chives
- Salty Foods or snacks
- Xylitol (Found in Chewing Gum, Candy, Sweeteners, etc.)
- Milk and other Dairy Products
- Chicken or Turkey bones (Bones from ALL birds are bad)
- Too much animal fat is bad
- Persimmon, Peach and Plum seeds
- ANY Raw foods (Risk of poisoning from bacteria)
- Sugary foods and drinks
- Yeast
- ANY Human Medicine (Always consult you veterinarian)
- Corn on the Cob
- Food for other pets (Like Cat food)
- Tomatoes (Vines, stems and leaves)
- ANY form of Tobacco
If there is others not on this list please inform us and we will add it to this list
BLOATING
Do not let you dog eat or drink before doing excercise or training. This could result in abdominal bloating which could be fatal to your dog. For more information on bloating please contact our instructors, or your preffered vet.
